Dear Mr. Smith,
My family and I
recently took a vocation to San Antonio. We choose to stay at Buenos hotel
located at St. Mary Street. We stayed there from Friday, May 14th up
to Tuesday, May 18th. I have enclosed a copy of our receipt. We picked
your hotel because of the location, and some positive reviews I had read
online.
We had a great vocation
and enjoyed visiting the Alamo, Sea World and other sites. We liked the
restaurant at your hotel, and the location was perfect. However, we were very
disappointed in the cleanliness of our room.
We found hair on the
bathroom floor when we arrived. In addition, the floor had crumbs and needed to
be vacuumed. On our second day, when we returned, we noticed that the beds had
not been made, and cleaning staff had not visited. I did call the lobby desk
and ask, they said they were understaffed and unable to do it on that day.
While I do understand that
low staff can cause issues, we did pay for full service. Therefore, since our
room was not cleaned, we would like a partial refund.

180 Students Flash Mob
for the Environment
JD. As many as
180 Students participated in flash mob at Jl. HR Rasunan Said, South Jakarta,
to raise awareness about environmental issues on Sunday.
During the flash mob, titled “one man,
one tumbler “, students taught onlookers about the need to reduce the usage of plastic
bottles by using tumblers. The participants, a mix of high school and college students,
danced as a part of a series of show called “Eco Ways For the future” (Ecoture)
that promote environmental awareness.
“Ecoture aims to show how important
it is to protect the environment. It also wants to provide information about
recyclable products,” said Kartika Nindyn ecoture’s coordinator, on Sunday, as
quoted by compass.com.
“At the end of
today’s ceremonies, we will create a petition to show the commitment young
people have toward becoming environmental heroes,” Nindy said.

Lionel

The stomach is the
first stop in the process of food digestion. The inner walls of the stomach,
also called stomach lining, are bathed in about a gallon of stomach acid and
digestive enzymes.
Gastritis happens when
the stomach lining is irritated, inflamed, or infected. Usually, a person with
gastritis will feel some cramps and pain in the middle or left upper belly,
just under the ribs. Other symptoms include nausea and vomiting, bloating, and
belching. A wound in the stomach is called a gastric ulcer and it caused more
pain than ordinary gastritis. Blood may appear in vomit or stool. This loss of
blood may cause anemia, which, will make the person feel weak, tired and dizzy.
When there is an infection, there is usually a fever.
It is used to be
thought that the causes of gastritis are spicy food, alcohol and life style
related factors like stress, along with some long term painkillers and anti
inflammation drugs like aspirin and ibuprofen. But in the early eighties, a
bacterium called Helicobacter-pylori was found to be responsible for most cases
of gastritis and gastric ulcer. These bacteria are not killed by stomach acid
because they live within the gel-like mucus membrane that protect the stomach
from its own acid. They have also developed a clever mechanism to neutralize
the acid that come in contact with, and released by a product of gases. These
bacteria enter the body via contaminated food and water, but still can be
eliminated with the right antibodies.

There is no one best
way to deal with pests in agriculture. Pesticides are commonly used, but this
may cause many problems. That’s why I feel that combining different management
operations is the most effective way to control pests.
The chemicals in pesticides

produce. As well, pests can gradually become resistant to pesticides. This
means the newer and sometimes stronger ones have to be developed.
Some pesticides affect
non target animals such as fish and bees. This affects the natural balance.

Sometimes pests damage costs less than the method of control.
Understanding the
ecology of the area helps a lot in pest control. Natural enemies can be used to

room at the party when Karl set his sights on Maddy, she is distraught to learn
that the safety of the lab will soon be jeopardized by a stranger’s presence.
Nevertheless, Karl’s intriguing personality soon
wins over all the Nevilles, last of all Charlotte, but there is still something
mysterious and dangerously intoxicating about him. Despite her best efforts,
Charlotte is enamored and soon gives herself up to Karl, body and soul. He
loves her, but freely admits that they cannot marry and has no desire to ruin
her in the eyes of her family. He tries his best to keep his vampire nature a
secret, choosing only to feed on strangers as he refuses to take the blood of
humans he knows. However, it is only a matter of time before his true identity

The plot of this book was very exciting.
I liked Karl from the beginning, as he has been very well-written to be both
seductive and dangerous.

I want to tell you about honey. Well, honey is sweet, thick liquid made
by bees from the nectar of flower. You know, nectar is a thin watery substance.
Bees sip it from the blossoms and carry it to their hives. Each worker has a
pouch in its body, called a honey stomach where the nectar is stored. In the
pouch, the sugar and nectar are broken down by process called inversion two

3.5 tons, and Bolco, which is able to carry 500 liters of water.
“We will intensify the
water bombing by using the Sikorsky because it can conduct 120 water bombing
sorties, while the Bolco can only carry out 20. We will also use the Bolco to
monitor and record hotspots,” Said said.
“Besides water bombing,
we will continue to cloud seed. This time, there are two Cassa planes, which
belong to the Army and the BPPT [Agency for the Assessment and Application of
Technology, chaired by State Minister of Research and Technology], to plant two
tons of salt in the clouds,” he added.
In Pekanbaru, the air
quality index hit 170 on the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) on Wednesday.
Normally the PSI range is between zero and 50.
Zainal Arifin from the
Riau Health Agency said he had distributed 170,000 masks across the province to

a complex radio, but still a radio. In order to really understand the way a
cell phone works, we must discuss some of the cell phones history for just a
moment.
The
Cell Approach! The technology behind cells have changed dramatically over the
years, just as cell phones have, but now most standard cells are about 10
square miles large. They are usually in the shape of a hexagon. Nowadays, every
individual cell has its own base station, rather than only one for an entire
city. And now cell phones are made to be
low-power transmitters (either 0.3 watts or 6 watts), which is much lower wattage
than in past decades. This means that the same frequency can be used in the
same city, at the same time, but in different cells.
How
a cell phone carrier controls the frequency like an ice cube tray. The cell
phone transmitting towers don't spill their transmissions that far out of their
own cells. They may spill slightly into the most adjacent cells, but not into
cells more than one cell away. Usually each separate carrier, have their own
control office in each major urban area called the Mobile Telephone Switching
Office (MTSO). This is where they control their respective towers. This office
also connects all of the cell-phone calls to the land-line phones.
But what happens
when one moves from cell to cell? Relax, this was all taken into consideration.
Each modern cell phone (meaning it was created in the last 20 years or so) has
special codes programmed into them. The most important code is the system
identification code or the (SID). It's a five digit code that the FCC gives to
each different cell phone carrier. When a cell phone is turned on, whether it's
making a call or not, it's picking up the SID that is being transmitted from
the closest cell phone tower. The phone's personal carrier is also transmitting
its SID to the phone on specific channels that the phone programmed to listen
for. But if it can't pick any of them up, the dreaded "NO SERVICE"
message appears on the display. However, when the carrier can pick up the
phone, you're in luck. It's connected!

plastic to our waste. Recycling has to come naturally and this is what our
generation can give to the next upcoming generation-the ability to think green
in all choices that are made on a daily basis.
Other areas of
recycling include water which is fast becoming an elusive commodity in many
areas on earth. Our ancestors used water in agriculture before allowing it to
flow to the sea and we see many cultures that have prospered around large
bodies of water. If we can reuse water this will be a greener place to live.
Another way that we can recycle is by donating goods that we no longer need or
have outgrown to others so that they may make use of them instead of purchasing
new items. This would greatly reduce the impact that we have on earth's
resources and aid sustainable living. It will also ensure that we have less
garbage in our dumps thus reducing global warming and toxic emissions that
pollute the atmosphere. Recycling is definitely something that each and
everyone of us should be aware of and can practice easily on a daily basis.

Oliver is born in a workhouse in the first half of
the nineteenth century. His mother dies during his birth, and he is sent to an
orphanage (where he is poorly treated). Along with the other orphans, Oliver is
regularly beaten and poorly fed. In a famous episode, he walks up to the the
stern authoritarian, Mr. Bumble, and asks for more. For this impertinence, he
is put out of the workhouse. He then runs away from the family who take him in.
He wants to find his fortune in London. Instead, he falls in with a boy called
Jack Dawkins, who is part of a child gang of thieves--run by Fagin.
Oliver is brought into the gang and trained as a
pickpocket. When he goes out on his first job, he runs away and is nearly sent
to prison. However, the kindness of the person who was robbed, saves him from
the terrors of the city gaol, and instead he is taken into the philanthropic
gentleman's home. However, as soon as he thinks he is settled, Bill Sikes and
Nancy (two members of the gang) takes him back. Oliver is once more sent out on
a job--this time assisting Sikes on a burglary.
The job goes wrong and Oliver is shot and left
behind. Once more he is taken in (this time by the Maylies, the family he was
sent to rob), and he spends a wonderful time with them. However, once more
Fagin's gang comes after him. Nancy, who is worried about Oliver, tells the
Maylies what is happening. When the gang find out about Nancy's treachery, they
murder her.
Meanwhile, the Maylies reunite Oliver with the
gentleman who helped him out earlier and who (in true Victorian-novel style)
turns out to be Oliver's uncle. Fagin has been arrested and hanged for his
crimes; and Oliver settles down to a pampered life (re-united--happily--with

While reading Anne Frank,
I learned lots about what really happened during World War II. It was an

obsession. Reading this really took me back to 1944 and put me right there in
the Secret Annex with its residents, holding my breath as Nazi troops passed by
on the streets below.
The wisdom I gained
will remain with me forever. Now I see the Holocaust as something more than a
tragedy we learn about in school: it seems more real, more horrific, and somehow
bigger and worse than I had imagined.
Each character clearly
has its own personality, ranging from extremely argumentative to unbelievably
gregarious, and each adds a different flavor to the journey. I truly felt
connected to these eight hiding away, as if I had known them forever.
Sometimes, it was as if Anne and I were best friends, sitting there and
talking. Other times I could feel Mrs. Van Daan's stinging comments.
Knowing these people
were real, that they lived and died at the hands of the Nazis, brought an
interesting perspective to the story. These weren't made-up characters, they
once walked this earth. In the end, I felt attached to them and their stories,
and I know other students will, too.
No one can read The
Diary of Anne Frank and not take away a very valuable lesson. Focusing on the
problems of growing up, dealing with tough times, and the never-ending power of
hope, these concepts really strengthened my morals and virtues. Throughout the
book, young people will be able to relate to Anne's quarrels with her sister
and parents, and everyone understands how hard it is to face your biggest
fears. Anne will teach us all something to save forever: I know she taught me.
After reading this
treasured book, I felt humbled, more knowledgeable and genuinely touched. Anne
Frank's diary will help everyone through the toughest and most confusing times

to the water. The sources of water pollution are categorized as being a point

aquatic organisms. As the aquatic organisms die, they are broken down by
decomposers which leads to further depletion of the oxygen levels.
A type of organic pollution can occur when
inorganic pollutants such as nitrogen and phosphates accumulate in aquatic
ecosystems. High levels of these nutrients cause an overgrowth of plants and
algae. As the plants and algae die, they become organic material in the water.
The enormous decay of this plant matter, in turn, lowers the oxygen level. The
process of rapid plant growth followed by increased activity by decomposers and
a depletion of the oxygen level is called eutrophication.
There is also so-called Thermal Pollution
-- Thermal pollution can occur when water is used as a coolant near a power or
industrial plant and then is returned to the aquatic environment at a higher
temperature than it was originally. Thermal pollution can lead to a decrease in
the dissolved oxygen level in the water while also increasing the biological
demand of aquatic organisms for oxygen. Finally, it is Ecological
Pollution -- Ecological pollution takes place when chemical pollution,
organic pollution or thermal pollution are caused by nature rather than by
human activity. An example of ecological pollution would be an increased rate
of siltation of a waterway after a landslide which would increase the amount of
sediments in runoff water. Another example would be when a large animal, such

Stem cell research has become a

The walrus is a sea mammal. It is in the
order pinnipedian and comes from the family of Odobenidae. Its scientific name

Walruses

ice flows. They use their tusks, which grow to about 60 centimeters long in the
female and 120 centimeters long in the male, to pull themselves out of the

The area that was once the engine
room of Britain’s mining industry has a haunting beauty. The towns of Redruth
and its sibling Camborne were West Cornwall’s mining heartland. It is a place
where one must spend time to recognize the beauty. Five kilometers to the west,
the village of Portreath overlooks an area of sand, book ended by cliffs.
Portreath is
the best village in the area. It began as the playground of the Redruth Camborne miners. Now it is slightly middle-class
resort filled in summer with families on holidays. In the mid 19th century the
small harbour bustled with sailing vessels.
Corwall’s
mining landscapes have been nominated for World Heritage status. At dusk, we
climb Cam Brea, an Iron Age settlement and hill fort close to Redruth. We count
more than a dozen mine chimneys against the evening skyline. Standing on top of
Cam Brea, it is hard to believe that 150 years ago these relics of the mining
industry shrieked with the sound of heavy machinery. Now, except for chirruping
of the birds, all is silent.
If you’ve got
the legs and the stamina there’s no better way to get to know Cornwall’s wild
Atlantic seaboard than to hike it. The National Trust looks after 260 km of
Cornish coastline, sand dunes and sheltered bays for walkers. On a breezy day
with the sun flitting in and out of clouds, we take the local bus from Redruth
to St Agnes and hike 12 km south to Portreath.
The 18 km
cycling trail is the best in that part of the country. It takes you from
Portreath in the west to the river at Devoran in the southeast. The path
follows the tracks of the horse drawn tramways that once hauled ore to the
ports.
Surfing is
popular on the beaches of west Cornwall. There is always a hardly group of
surfers in the waves in all weather. New quay is the surf capital but there are
plenty of good beaches north towards Padstow and south to St Ives.
